NEVER SAY NEVER!
Sometimes ago, I submitted an article for publication in the NYSC magazine while serving in Edo State. But unfortunately, my article was no where to be found in the magazine. To be candid, I felt totally discouraged. But one thing I never did; I never say never. I knew I am a gifted writer. Even though I spent five years studying Biochemistry in the University, I knew God has given me the gift of writing. So I didn’t allow anything to discourage me.
And few weeks later, the same article that was unable to make it to the NYSC magazine has been published in the Nigeria most read newsletter—naij.com, and has been read by many Nigerians from different part if the country. And the feedbacks were encouraging. Now I have my work being published on a weekly basis. So, never say never.

KEEP WORKING BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE WATCHING
BARE this in mind, “There is nothing you do that will go unrewarded, be it good or bad”. So, whatever you find yourself doing, do it with all your might because a day will come when you get the reward. It is a bitter truth that
” what you sow, you reap.” But am now telling you that “you will surely reap more than what you sow”
How do you feel about that? That’s just the truth. Take for instance, a single corn seed gives rise to cobs of corn containing hundreds of seeds each. And if you plant cocoa, you will reap it for a life time. Your children will reap, and your children’s children will surely reap out of it. So, be careful what you do.
BUT if you have a gift or talent to do something, please do it and never be discouraged by anybody or anything . It may seems as if people don’t subscribe into your idea now. You may even think that people don’t appreciate what you are doing. This is a wrong conception. Because they do. Just keep doing it because people are watching you.
A day is coming when your work will payoff for you. Keep working until you don’t need to introduce yourself again. Work, work, work and you will be surprised what will become of your dream.
<em><strong> I WAS</strong></em> surprised when i got a call from one of my readers, Temitayo is her mame (she is one of the major sources of my inspiration, she always encourage me). As i picked the call, we exchanged pleasantries. <strong>She then asked me why i haven't posted anything in a couple of weeks back. I was shocked by such an unexpected question. "So people are watching", i said to myself</strong>. Well, I felt elated and I quickly explained to her, the why. Do you too want to know? It's because i'm presently working on a life transforming book which has been consuming most of my time. But now i realized that i need more of time management skill.
<em><strong>THE</strong></em> following day, as I grabbed my pen to write, in order to keep my fans updated and to never let their love for my work die. Then, the idea of this topic came into my mind from the call i received from Tayo (thanks to her). Keep working because people are watching.
The most surprising thing happened when I finish writing this piece. While I was still holding my pen, I noticed that my phone was vibrating, I have a call. It was ADEBAYO Oluwatobiloba, a final year chemical engineering students of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso<strong>. After exchange of pleasantries, he asked me the same question.."You are not posting anything again, why? " </strong>This time again, I explained to him the why. So, people are watching.
<em><strong> THESE</strong></em> events reminds me of How i was appointed a
Chapel Prefect
in secondary school. The teachers said during the interview that “You did so so so thing while you were in JSS3” I said yes. In which i never new it was recorded. That was what fetched me the post. So, people are watching. What about my permanent appointment as a
course rep
in the University? And again, I was elected as the
Financial secretary
of the National union of Biochemistry students, LAUTECH. I must not forget to tell you that i received a
TV and Radio invitation
(immediately after the launching of my first book) to be a co-presenter in a children programme. I have also been chanced to
speak at seminars as a result of my writings. Mind you, i never knew that people are watching, but now I knew they do.
Are you in the same category today? What is it that you are doing and you think you want to quit because people don’t appreciate it. No, they do. The time will come when they will show they do. But before that time, Just
KEEP WORKING BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE WATCHING.
